UW Women's Water Polo 2018

Davis, CA -- This weekend the #7 University of Washington Huskies are headed to the Davis Invitational to square off against some of the best teams in the country.

This weekend marks the Huskies first time at the Davis Invitational which includes 13 other teams from throughout California and Oregon to come together before the start of the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) season.

The action starts on Saturday, February 3rd at 9am as the Huskies square off against Chico State. Then at 2pm, they'll be concluding Saturday's action with a match against UC San Diego. The tough schedule continues on Sunday with a 11am showdown against last year's National Champions, #1 UC Davis. Finally the last game of the weekend will be against UC Davis B at 2 pm on Sunday.

The Dawgs are excited to get the season underway. The last tournament they were in was the San Diego State Fall Invitational back in November where they went 2-2.

This year the Huskies have added a tremendous amount of talent to the roster despite losing 2 players in Katie Rogers, and last year's captain, Lacy Chun. However the ever expanding team will be bringing 23 players to Davis to gain valuable experience against the strong programs of California.
